National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, launched Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) on April 2017. The National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) conducts the survey. The survey seeks to generate quarterly reports on Labour Force Indicators such as Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR), Worker Population Ratio (WPR) and Unemployment Rate (UR) in urban areas and an annual report for rural India. The periodic labour force survey had replaced the Annual Employment Unemployment Survey in 2017 on the recommendations of the Task Force on Employment chaired by Dr. Arvind Panagariya, then Vice-Chairman of NITI Aayog. Bioindicator: A bioindicator is a living organism that gives us an idea of the health of an ecosystem. Some organisms are very sensitive to pollution in their environment, so if pollutants are present, the organism may change its morphology, physiology or behaviour, or it could even die.

Keystone Species: Keystone species, in ecology, a species that has a disproportionately large effect on the communitiesin which it occurs. Such species help to maintain local biodiversity within a community either by controlling populations of other species that would otherwise dominate the community or by providing critical resources for a wide range of species.

Statement 2 and 3 is Correct:

• Bioindicators can be plants, animals or microorganisms.
• A lichen is a composite organism that arises from algae or cyanobacteria (or both) living among filaments of a fungus in a mutually beneficial relationship (symbiotoc relationship).
• The hardy lichens are useful bioindicators for air pollution, especially sulfur dioxide pollution.

In significant changes in electoral funding norms, corporate donations to political parties will no longer face any ceiling linked to firms' profitability and companies will no longer be obliged to inform their shareholders which party's coffers they contribute to. These changes were introduced by the government in the amendments to the Finance act of 2017 Earlier, companies can only contribute up to 7.5% of their average net profits in the past three financial years to political parties. Moreover, they are required to disclose the amount of contributions made and the names of the political parties to which they were made, in their profit and loss accounts. The government has included an amendment to the Companies Act of 2013 to do away with the 7.5% of net profits limit set on donations and the requirement for a company to disclose the name of political parties to which they donate.
